THE HUNGER GAMES by Suzanne Collins:
A Great book!  A surprise on every page for the reader.

CATCHING FIRE by Suzanne Collins
This book really captures the series for me.  Best book in the trilogy!

MOCKINGJAY by Suzanne Collins
Worth the wait, but I could have done without the epilogue.

THE TALES OF BEEDLE THE BARD by J.K. Rowlings
I picked this book because of the short stories that tie into the Harry Potter series.  I like the book because it fills in blanks for me.  I recommend it for any fan of Harry Potter.

FABLEHAVEN by Brandon Mull
I chose this book because of its title and genre.  I have always been curious of things that may or may not exist.  Two children learn that the grandparents they barely knew were the carekeepers of a preserve for magical creatures.  Who knows what trouble they may get into?

FABLEHAVEN: Rise of the Evening Star
With even more secrets in the sequel, the odds are raised to life and death situations. Highly recommend. Can't wait for the next book in the series.

FABLEHAVEN: Grip of the Shadow Plague
Basic battle of good vs. evil in this installment of FABLEHAVEN with new terrors, tasks, and deceits...gasp.  The trouble never ends.  This book is a page turner.

FABLEHAVEN: Secrets of the Dragon Sanctuary
With a bumpy start, this book begins with death, smoke, mirrors, and a taste of adventure. Sorrow and distrust eat up the first chapter...recommended, though, for anyone into this series.

FABLEHAVEN: Keys to the Demon Prison
This final installment of FABLEHAVEN starts with mistaken identity.  A flair for adventure and friendship come out of this page turner.  New realizations are found and pure evil is not far behind.  I recommend this book to anyone who has an interest in magical creatures.

THE LAST APPRENTICE, THE SPOOKS BESTIARY by Joseph Delaney
I decided to read this book because of the genre.  It is a great companion to the LAST APPRENTICE series.  It lists each creature and gives a detailed summery of the denizens of the dark.

UNBELIEVABLE by Sara Shepard
This book is part of a series called PRETTY LITTLE LIARS.  It surprised me so much with its twists and turns and mysteries.  It keeps you on edge.  I decided to read the books since they became a hit TV series, but I haven't seen it yet.
